Insurance is a complex arrangement that benefits our affiliated clubs and members but it is not a catch all solution. Here are some handy answers to frequently asked questions about your insurance.

  • Who is entitled to KBI Insurance?

    All valid members and clubs of Kickboxing Ireland are entitled to be covered under KBI Insurance when it is used for its original purpose.

  • What events are covered by my club insurance cover? 

    All members are reminded that insurance obtained under KBI club/organisation membership is valid only for KBI sanctioned events, run under WAKO rules.

  • What is covered by my insurance? 

    KBI club and member insurance is only valid for Kickboxing class activities that are governed by a kickboxing syllabus and recognised by Kickboxing Ireland and under WAKO rules. It does not cover training or participation in other defined disciplines which are governed by other national or international organisations or not under WAKO rules.

  • As a KBI Member am I covered at other events? 

    If an event is not sanctioned by KBI then a member or club insurance will not be extended to cover these events. Our members are encouraged to seek proof of insurance cover which the event organiser themselves have put in place for the external event.
